We decided to create a moodboard as we wanted to convey our ideas visually. As you can see from the images above, the running theme is dark and twisted. There is several pictues of haunted houses as this is a common convention of the location of many films within the genre of horror. There is also a picture of a silhouette of man committing suicide. The purpose of this is to portray that many people in horrific situations represented in the narrative of horror films sometimes cannot handle the situation, therefore decided to take their own lives as a way out. The image of a full moon is also used as it creates a spooky atmosphere; a full moon is also associated to humans turning into werewolves. We also added a picture of a doll that has a wide scarred mouth and cuts near his eyes. This takes something so innocent as a doll, but twist it to create a freaky concept of how everything has an element of darkness within. An ouigi board is also present. This is a board on which are marked the letters of the alphabet. Answers to questions are spelt out by a pointer or glass held by the fingertips of the participants, and are supposedly formed by spiritual forces. This indicates that spiritual personas are also commonly used within the genre of horror. The purpose of the image of the mobile phone is to indicate how the protagonist tends to be in a distressing situtation, and relies on their mobile phones on a way out, however the lines always gets cut off or the battery runs out; creating a tenser situation and trapping the protagonist as if there is 'no way out'.
