Whats New Scooby-Doo?
Halloween Boos & Clues
The demographic of this film is 5 to 10 year olds. Many techniques  have been used in this print publication to appeal to their target audience. Within the film poster, the protagonists 'Shaggy' and 'Scooby-Doo' are featured. This introduces the viewers to the film. The poster also consists of only animated sketches, which conveys that the film itself is only based on animation; therefore the audience are able to familiarise with the movie beforehand. The colour of the backgroud setting and the 'boogyman' are shades of blue. The connotation of these colours are typically mystery which creates a spooky atmosphere. Contrastingly the protagonist are dressed in bright colours. This allows the characters to stand out and also appear as the 'goodies' within the film; as they are dressed in vibrant colours. The facial expressions of the protagonist seems fearful which creates tension and panic. This is a convention of characters emotion within the film of a horror genre.



Nightmare before Christmas
The film Nightmare Before Chrstmas is a childrens film that consists of animation. The demographic of this film is children aged between 6-12 years old. On the poster, the protagonist, Jack Skellington, is shown. This introduces the character to the audience. The skeleton is also not portrayed in a horrific way as it has a wide smmile across his face. The poster consists of bright colours such as pinks, purples and blues as these are universal colours hat can appeal to the target audience. Elements of the genre are also subtly portrayed, as a mystical ghost is displayed on the top left hand corner. Sharp pointy gates are also within the frame and a door, which makes the audience question where it leads to. Children are also very imaginative therefore this concept enables them to explore their inner creativity and wonder where the destination is.
